Each class comes to the music room once a week for 45 minutes where they learn to read, sing, play, and create music. 4^th grade has a huge unit focusing on the instruments of the orchestra, while 5^th grade has a lot of fun earning belts for recorder karate. The 2^nd and 3^rd grades learn how to create interesting compositions and discover harmony in partner songs. Kindergarten and first grade students not only become pro’s at steady beat, they can also show you the moves to every song! During the year each grade has a special program they prepare for their parents and fellow students. A great mix of patriotic, multi-cultural, and varied styles of music are what makes this specialty class so fun!
